Hey folks, you all know that the cost of living these days is getting very tough to handle. I mean, with the house prices in California still at pretty high prices where do we go to look for good homes in a nice area that is very affordable? Why not take the plunge and make that move to the Las Vegas area. In California the down payment on a decent home is about 20% which is around $80,000 -- $120,000. In the Las Vegas or Nevada area you can get a decent four-bedroom, two bath home for between $100,000 and $125,000 and this makes the down payment a very affordable $20,000. The Las Vegas area experienced a plunge in house prices even larger than the Southern California area. This means that anyone that saved some money through this housing prices can now afford to live in a very nice area in Las Vegas for a fraction of the cost that it would've cost him three years ago. Let's talk about the damage is of living in Las Vegas compared to living in Southern California.

Las Vegas has some of the best casino gambling in the world. Now whether your taste is blackjack, video poker, poker, horse racing or sports betting you can have all of that and more when living in Las Vegas. This is not even counting the $500 -- $700 monthly payment on your house mortgage in that area. Not only does Las Vegas have some of the best casino gambling hotels in the world but they also have some of the best entertainment in the world no matter what the age group is. When taken a drive through the Las Vegas area you can always take your kids to Circus Circus where they can have the time of their lives watching the acrobats on the trampoline or watching the Lions, Tigers and elephants perform.

One of the best-kept secrets that Las Vegas has is its exclusive golf courses. Vegas has some of the best golf courses in America and they are not too expensive to join compared to Southern California. The revere golf club in Las Vegas is known for one of the best golf courses in that area and its name is the Concorde course. Not only does it offer 7000 yard golf course for the avid golfers but it also offers incredible scenery along the way for the kids and the wife to enjoy while you relax and play some good golf. The desert pine golf course is another very unique area to go golfing. What makes this golf course so unique is the fact that it is the only golf course in the Vegas area where you will find hundreds and even thousands of Carolina pine trees. These of course come from the Carolina area and are unique to Las Vegas. What also makes this golf course unique is that it is minutes away from the strip and also from the Las Vegas airport.

Now that we have convinced you that Las Vegas is much more affordable than Southern California, let us also compare it to the Atlantic City area. That same four-bedroom, two bath house in the Atlantic city area would cost in the range of $600,000-$1 million. Now I don't know about you, but I would want to move away from the Southern California area just so I could find more affordable housing prices. The prices of homes in the Atlantic City area would kill this concept completely. Not only are the house prices in Atlantic city very expensive but you also get a very cold east coast weather with it.

In closing, not only do you get decent weather in the Las Vegas area but you also get very very cheap house prices also. On top of this you get the same kind of casino gambling experience in Las Vegas but you also get to experience the amazing outdoor and nature that Las Vegas has to offer.
